As we say goodbye to another year, I’d like to thank everyone who has worked with us on the various projects we’ve completed in 2025. From expanding our Braille dictionaries project by several more languages to our work on the Haitian Creole Braille code, or even something as small as our sudoku boards, we hope that we’ve brought something enjoyable or useful to many of you in 2025 and we’re hoping to do more in 2026.
We have several projects we’re excited to unveil in the months to come. Some were suggestions from all the people we’ve had the pleasure of hearing from on the many mailing lists we’re on while others are ones thought up by our volunteers. If you have any ideas you think might be up our alley, we’d really like hearing from you about them.
And in that spirit, we do have a small new tool that we hope you will enjoy. The Braille calendar generator creates a Braille file with the calendar for any year or set of years with the flexibility to mark days or weeks to show when events are scheduled. While not as full-featured as a complete calendar program, this can be a useful way to make a calendar that you can scan through quickly. We hope you will find this useful, and if you have any ideas for how we can improve it, please let us know as we’d be happy to add features. You can find this tool at s.seeinghands.org/calendar. Here’s to a happy 2026.
